Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When does lavender bloom in New Zealand?

Our lavender typically blooms from early December to late January in the North Island, depending on the variety and weather conditions. We update the bloom status daily on our social media—please check before planning your visit.

Q: What are your opening hours?

Our lavender fields are open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM between 1 December and Auckland Anniversary Day. Our farm shop begins operating from mid-November with variable hours before peak season. Please follow our social media for any holiday or weather updates.

Q: Do I need a booking to visit?

No booking is required for general entry. However, group visits and professional photography sessions must be arranged in advance—please email us.

Q: Can I pick my own lavender or blueberries?

Yes. Pick-Your-Own Lavender is available throughout the bloom season. Pick-Your-Own Blueberries depends on weather and fruit availability. We post daily updates at the entrance and on our social media.

Q: Are pets or drones allowed at the farm?

For the safety of our fields and visitors, pets are not allowed. You might meet our resident farm cat, Mr. Bubble, proudly serving as our Chief Pest Control Officer. Drones and aerial photography are not permitted during business hours to ensure the safety and privacy of all guests.

Q: Can I book a professional or commercial photoshoot at the farm?

Yes, but all commercial or professional photography must be booked in advance. This includes wedding photos, styled shoots, and any brand or promotional content. Please email us with details to request permission and schedule your session.

Q: Can I take photos on the farm?

Yes. Visitors are welcome to take personal photos. For commercial or styled shoots, please contact us in advance to make a booking.

Q: Do you have a café on site?

We don’t have a traditional café, but we do have a coffee trailer on-site during the summer season. It serves real fruit ice cream, barista-made coffee, cold drinks, and light meals, all freshly prepared for our visitors. Please note that outside food is not permitted in the lavender or blueberry fields. We ask guests to enjoy any food and drinks only in the designated seating areas near the shop.

Q: Do you offer online shopping?

Yes! Our full range of lavender products, gifts, and skincare is available 24/7 online. We also offer scheduled farm pick-up during the off-season—just contact us to arrange.
