Why This Cosy Evening Gift for Her Is Special
Frequently Asked Questions
What's a lavender candle gift for her that feels natural — is the Lavender Aromatherapy Candle Gift Set for Her a good choice?
Yes, it's a natural lavender candle gift for her. Our lavender coconut wax candles are scented with lavender essential oil we grow and distil ourselves, and they come with mini dried lavender flowers. They're lovely for winding down, meditation or simply making a room smell like a lavender field.
What makes the Lavender Aromatherapy Candle Gift Sets for Her different from other lavender gift sets?
These coconut wax candles are scented only with lavender essential oil we grow and steam-distil ourselves, never fragrance oil. The mini dried flowers come from the same fields on our family farm in Newstead, Waikato, and every set is packed by hand there before it leaves the farm.
What occasions suit this lavender candle gift set?
It suits birthdays, housewarmings, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, thank-you gifts and Secret Santa.
Does this gift set arrive ready to give?
Yes — it arrives gift-boxed, ready to send straight to the recipient: just enter their address as the shipping address. To include a personal message, add one of our greeting cards to your order and write your message in the Gift message or special instructions box in your cart — we'll handwrite it on the card. Receipts are emailed to you, so no price or invoice goes in the parcel.
How do I use this lavender candle gift set?
On the first burn, let the candle melt across to the edges, which usually takes one to two hours, so it burns evenly next time. Trim the wick before each use and keep it away from draughts. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Does this lavender candle gift set contain nuts, coconut, beeswax or milk?
The candles are made with coconut wax. None of the items contain nuts, beeswax or milk. Full ingredient lists are on each product's own page.
Where does the lavender in this gift set come from?
The candles are made with Super Lavandin (Lavandula × intermedia 'Super') essential oil grown and steam-distilled on our family farm in Newstead, Waikato, and the dried flowers come from the same fields.
How long does delivery take within New Zealand for this gift set?
We send every order by tracked courier, with no signature needed. We aim to deliver within 3–5 working days in the North Island and 5–7 working days in the South Island and rural areas, and orders placed on a weekend or public holiday are sent the next business day.
Can I order this lavender candle gift set from overseas for someone in New Zealand?
Yes. You can order the Lavender Aromatherapy Candle Gift Sets for Her from anywhere in the world and we'll deliver it to any address in New Zealand — just enter the recipient's NZ address at checkout. We only deliver within New Zealand, so it can't be sent to an address overseas.
Lavender Backyard Garden Gift Sets Compared to Other Brands
| Features | Our Gift Sets | Many Other Gift Sets |
|---|---|---|
| Lavender Source | Grown and steam-distilled on our family farm in Newstead, Waikato, since 2014. | Lavender oil is often bought in from overseas, and its origin isn't always stated. |
| Own Brand | Most items are our own Lavender Backyard Garden® products, made in small batches at the farm with our own lavender essential oil. Keepsakes like bookmarks, pins and magnets are designed at the farm. | Many gift box shops buy in products from other brands and pack them into a box. |
| Lavender Variety | We name the variety: Super Lavandin (Lavandula × intermedia 'Super') for our essential oil and most body care, English lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) for our English lavender body oil and lotion, and 'Pacific Blue' for our teas and jams. | The lavender variety is rarely stated. |
| Dried Lavender | Grown spray-free and harvested on our farm for sachets and dried flowers. | May be imported and sometimes treated with sprays or preservatives. |
| Scent | Scented with our own lavender essential oil. Our goat milk, scrub and shaving soaps use an English lavender fragrance. | May use synthetic fragrance oils instead of essential oil. |
| Ingredients | Full ingredient list on every product page, with common allergens named in each gift set's FAQ. | Ingredient details aren't always easy to find. |
| Cruelty-Free | We don't test on animals. | Varies by brand. |
