How is this different from a harsh physical scrub?
Most physical scrubs use crushed walnut shell, apricot kernel, or sugar — all of which have irregular, jagged edges that can cause micro-tears in the skin. This scrub uses jojoba esters, which are perfectly spherical and biodegradable — they exfoliate evenly and gently without damaging the skin barrier. The aloe vera base also soothes as you scrub, making it suitable for sensitive skin.
How often should I use this face scrub?
2–3 times per week is ideal for most skin types. If you have sensitive or reactive skin, start with once a week and build up. Over-exfoliating — even with a gentle scrub — can disrupt the skin barrier, so listen to your skin and adjust frequency accordingly.
Is this suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes — the jojoba ester beads are the gentlest physical exfoliant available, and the aloe vera base actively soothes during use. That said, everyone's skin is different — if you have very reactive skin, patch test on your inner wrist first and start with once-a-week use.
Can I use this as a massage gel as well as a scrub?
Yes — the gel base and lavender essential oil make it an effective facial massage gel. Apply to clean, damp skin and massage in upward circular motions for 1–2 minutes before rinsing. The lavender essential oil and aloe vera work together to calm and refresh the skin during the massage.
Can I use this with your other skincare products?
