Why This Home Cleaning Gift Set NZ Is Special
Frequently Asked Questions
What's a useful housewarming gift for someone who loves their kitchen — is the Exclusive Kitchen Care Hamper a good choice?
Yes, it's practical and pretty. Inside are a lavender hand wash for the sink, a 500ml lavender all-purpose kitchen cleaner, a satin silk lavender bag, a mini dried lavender flower and a bookmark.
What makes the Exclusive Kitchen Care Hamper different from other lavender gift hampers?
Even the hand wash and kitchen cleaner in this hamper are made with lavender oil distilled on our family farm in Newstead, Waikato. The satin bag holds spray-free buds hand-rubbed on the farm, the mini dried flower is grown and bunched by hand, and every hamper is packed by hand at the farm.
What occasions suit this lavender kitchen gift hamper?
It suits housewarmings, a new kitchen, keen cooks and bakers, Mother's Day and thank-you gifts for hosts.
Does this gift hamper arrive ready to give?
Yes — it arrives gift-boxed, ready to send straight to the recipient: just enter their address as the shipping address. To include a personal message, add one of our greeting cards to your order and write your message in the Gift message or special instructions box in your cart — we'll handwrite it on the card. Receipts are emailed to you, so no price or invoice goes in the parcel.
How do I use this lavender kitchen gift hamper?
Keep the hand wash by the kitchen sink. Spray the cleaner onto benches and wipe clean — it's for surfaces, not skin. Hang the satin bag in a pantry or linen cupboard.
Does this lavender kitchen gift hamper contain nuts, coconut, beeswax or milk?
The Lavender Hand Wash contains macadamia oil and coconut oil. The kitchen cleaner is a surface cleaner, not for skin. None of the items contain beeswax or milk. Full ingredient lists are on each product's own page.
Where does the lavender in this gift hamper come from?
The hand wash and kitchen cleaner are made with Super Lavandin (Lavandula × intermedia 'Super') essential oil grown and steam-distilled on our family farm in Newstead, Waikato, and the satin bag and dried flower hold lavender from the same fields.
How long does delivery take within New Zealand for this gift hamper?
We send every order by tracked courier, with no signature needed. We aim to deliver within 3–5 working days in the North Island and 5–7 working days in the South Island and rural areas, and orders placed on a weekend or public holiday are sent the next business day.
Can I order this lavender kitchen gift hamper from overseas for someone in New Zealand?
Yes. You can order the Exclusive Kitchen Care Hamper from anywhere in the world and we'll deliver it to any address in New Zealand — just enter the recipient's NZ address at checkout. We only deliver within New Zealand, so it can't be sent to an address overseas.
Lavender Backyard Garden Gift Sets Compared to Other Brands
| Features | Our Gift Sets | Many Other Gift Sets |
|---|---|---|
| Lavender Source | Grown and steam-distilled on our family farm in Newstead, Waikato, since 2014. | Lavender oil is often bought in from overseas, and its origin isn't always stated. |
| Own Brand | Most items are our own Lavender Backyard Garden® products, made in small batches at the farm with our own lavender essential oil. Keepsakes like bookmarks, pins and magnets are designed at the farm. | Many gift box shops buy in products from other brands and pack them into a box. |
| Lavender Variety | We name the variety: Super Lavandin (Lavandula × intermedia 'Super') for our essential oil and most body care, English lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) for our English lavender body oil and lotion, and 'Pacific Blue' for our teas and jams. | The lavender variety is rarely stated. |
| Dried Lavender | Grown spray-free and harvested on our farm for sachets and dried flowers. | May be imported and sometimes treated with sprays or preservatives. |
| Scent | Scented with our own lavender essential oil. Our goat milk, scrub and shaving soaps use an English lavender fragrance. | May use synthetic fragrance oils instead of essential oil. |
| Ingredients | Full ingredient list on every product page, with common allergens named in each gift set's FAQ. | Ingredient details aren't always easy to find. |
| Cruelty-Free | We don't test on animals. | Varies by brand. |
