Yes — goat milk is naturally rich in fats and lactic acid, which gently cleanses while helping to maintain the skin's moisture barrier. Combined with pure lavender essential oil and no synthetic fragrance, this soap is a good fit for dry or reactive skin that struggles with harsher commercial soaps.
How is this different from regular store-bought soap?
Most commercial soap bars rely on synthetic detergents and fragrance to clean and scent the skin, which can strip natural oils. This bar is handcrafted with real goat milk and lavender essential oil steam-distilled from Lavandula × intermedia 'Super' grown on our Waikato farm — no synthetic fragrance, no fillers, just a creamy, naturally scented lather.
How long does one bar last with regular use?
With daily use, most customers find a bar lasts around four to six weeks. Keeping the soap on a draining soap dish between uses — rather than sitting in water — helps it last longer and keeps the bar firmer for a cleaner lather each time.
Can I use this alongside your other lavender bath and body products?
Yes — it works beautifully as the wash step in a full lavender bath ritual. Use the soap in the shower or bath, soak with our Lavender Epsom Bath Salts, then finish with our Lavender Hand Cream to lock in moisture. All three use the same farm-grown lavender so the scent layers naturally.
Where is this soap made?
Handcrafted in small batches in New Zealand using lavender essential oil grown and steam-distilled on our family farm in Newstead, Waikato. We've been growing Lavandula × intermedia 'Super' on our Waikato property since 2014 — every bar is small-batch made, not factory-manufactured.
