Why This Relaxing Gift for Mum Is Special
Frequently Asked Questions
What's a calming little gift to help Mum slow down in the evening — is the Indulgent Relaxing Gift Set for Mother a good choice?
Yes — it's an easy bedtime routine: a travel-size lavender sleep mist for the pillow, lavender chamomile tea to sip in the evening, a lavender sachet and a bookmark for reading in bed.
What occasions suit this lavender relaxing gift set for mum?
It suits Mother's Day, Mum's birthday, a thinking-of-you moment, travel and small thank-you gifts.
Does this gift set arrive ready to give?
Yes — it arrives gift-boxed, ready to send straight to the recipient: just enter their address as the shipping address. To include a personal message, add one of our greeting cards to your order and write your message in the Gift message or special instructions box in your cart — we'll handwrite it on the card. Receipts are emailed to you, so no price or invoice goes in the parcel.
How does Mum use this lavender relaxing gift set?
About an hour before bed, brew a cup of lavender chamomile tea. Mist the pillow lightly about 10 minutes before bed so it can dry, and tuck the sachet into a drawer or pillowcase.
Does this lavender relaxing gift set for mum contain nuts, coconut, beeswax or milk?
No — none of the items contain nuts, coconut, beeswax or milk. The tea contains chamomile, which some people with daisy-family allergies avoid. Full ingredient lists are on each product's own page.
Where does the lavender in this gift set come from?
The sleep mist is made with Super Lavandin (Lavandula × intermedia 'Super') essential oil grown and steam-distilled on our family farm in Newstead, Waikato, and the sachet holds lavender from the same fields. The tea uses our culinary English lavender (Lavandula angustifolia 'Pacific Blue').
How long does delivery take within New Zealand for this gift set?
We send every order by tracked courier, with no signature needed. We aim to deliver within 3–5 working days in the North Island and 5–7 working days in the South Island and rural areas, and orders placed on a weekend or public holiday are sent the next business day.
Can I order this lavender relaxing gift set for mum from overseas for someone in New Zealand?
Yes. You can order the Indulgent Relaxing Gift Set for Mother from anywhere in the world and we'll deliver it to any address in New Zealand — just enter the recipient's NZ address at checkout. We only deliver within New Zealand, so it can't be sent to an address overseas.
Lavender Backyard Garden Gift Sets Compared to Other Brands
| Features | Our Gift Sets | Many Other Gift Sets |
|---|---|---|
| Lavender Source | Grown and steam-distilled on our family farm in Newstead, Waikato, since 2014. | Lavender oil is often bought in from overseas, and its origin isn't always stated. |
| Own Brand | Most items are our own Lavender Backyard Garden® products, made in small batches at the farm with our own lavender essential oil. Keepsakes like bookmarks, pins and magnets are designed at the farm. | Many gift box shops buy in products from other brands and pack them into a box. |
| Lavender Variety | We name the variety: Super Lavandin (Lavandula × intermedia 'Super') for our essential oil and most body care, English lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) for our English lavender body oil and lotion, and 'Pacific Blue' for our teas and jams. | The lavender variety is rarely stated. |
| Dried Lavender | Grown spray-free and harvested on our farm for sachets and dried flowers. | May be imported and sometimes treated with sprays or preservatives. |
| Scent | Scented with our own lavender essential oil. Our goat milk, scrub and shaving soaps use an English lavender fragrance. | May use synthetic fragrance oils instead of essential oil. |
| Ingredients | Full ingredient list on every product page, with common allergens named in each gift set's FAQ. | Ingredient details aren't always easy to find. |
| Cruelty-Free | We don't test on animals. | Varies by brand. |
