Why This Bath Soak Gift for Her Is Special
Frequently Asked Questions
What's a small gift for a friend who loves a bath — is the Small but Wonderful Gift Set a good choice?
Yes, it's a lovely pick for a friend who loves a bath. It holds three different soaks in one small box: a tube of floral lavender bath salts, a creamy lavender coconut milk bath soak and a fizzing lavender bath bomb, plus a lavender sachet and a bookmark. It's an easy way to give someone three evenings in the bath.
What makes the Small but Wonderful Gift Set different from other lavender gift sets?
All three soaks in this little box are scented with lavender oil we steam-distil on our family farm in Newstead, Waikato. The floral salts and coconut milk soak are made with German food-grade Epsom salt, and the sachet holds hand-rubbed, spray-free buds. Each box is packed by hand at the farm.
What occasions suit this small lavender bath gift set?
It suits thank-you gifts, teachers, colleagues, Secret Santa, birthdays and stocking fillers — any time you want something modest that still feels like a treat.
Does this gift set arrive ready to give?
Yes — it arrives gift-boxed, ready to send straight to the recipient: just enter their address as the shipping address. To include a personal message, add one of our greeting cards to your order and write your message in the Gift message or special instructions box in your cart — we'll handwrite it on the card. Receipts are emailed to you, so no price or invoice goes in the parcel.
How do I use this small lavender bath gift set?
Use one soak per bath: sprinkle the floral bath salts or pour the coconut milk soak into warm running water, or drop in the bath bomb and let it fizz. Soak for 15–20 minutes. Keep the sachet in a drawer or handbag.
Does this small lavender bath gift set contain nuts, coconut, beeswax or milk?
The Lavender Coconut Milk Bath Soak contains coconut milk powder and jojoba oil, and the bath bomb contains coconut oil and cosmetic colours. None of the items contain nuts or beeswax. Full ingredient lists are on each product's own page.
Where does the lavender in this gift set come from?
The bath salts, coconut milk soak and bath bomb are made with Super Lavandin (Lavandula × intermedia 'Super') essential oil grown and steam-distilled on our family farm in Newstead, Waikato, and the sachet holds lavender from the same fields.
How long does delivery take within New Zealand for this gift set?
We send every order by tracked courier, with no signature needed. We aim to deliver within 3–5 working days in the North Island and 5–7 working days in the South Island and rural areas, and orders placed on a weekend or public holiday are sent the next business day.
Can I order this small lavender bath gift set from overseas for someone in New Zealand?
Yes. You can order the Small but Wonderful Gift Set from anywhere in the world and we'll deliver it to any address in New Zealand — just enter the recipient's NZ address at checkout. We only deliver within New Zealand, so it can't be sent to an address overseas.
Lavender Backyard Garden Gift Sets Compared to Other Brands
| Features | Our Gift Sets | Many Other Gift Sets |
|---|---|---|
| Lavender Source | Grown and steam-distilled on our family farm in Newstead, Waikato, since 2014. | Lavender oil is often bought in from overseas, and its origin isn't always stated. |
| Own Brand | Most items are our own Lavender Backyard Garden® products, made in small batches at the farm with our own lavender essential oil. Keepsakes like bookmarks, pins and magnets are designed at the farm. | Many gift box shops buy in products from other brands and pack them into a box. |
| Lavender Variety | We name the variety: Super Lavandin (Lavandula × intermedia 'Super') for our essential oil and most body care, English lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) for our English lavender body oil and lotion, and 'Pacific Blue' for our teas and jams. | The lavender variety is rarely stated. |
| Dried Lavender | Grown spray-free and harvested on our farm for sachets and dried flowers. | May be imported and sometimes treated with sprays or preservatives. |
| Scent | Scented with our own lavender essential oil. Our goat milk, scrub and shaving soaps use an English lavender fragrance. | May use synthetic fragrance oils instead of essential oil. |
