Why This Wedding Morning Gift for Bridesmaids Is Special
Frequently Asked Questions
What's a small, pretty thank-you for my bridesmaids — is the Charming Bridesmaid Gift Box a good choice?
Yes — it's a light, useful thank-you: a travel-size lavender body lotion, a pure lavender hydrosol face toner, a dried lavender sachet and a bookmark. It's easy to order several, and each one feels personal.
What makes the Charming Bridesmaid Gift Box different from other lavender gift boxes?
Each bridesmaid box carries lavender from our own fields in Newstead, Waikato, packed by hand at the farm. The face toner is the floral water collected when we distil our lavender oil, the body lotion uses that same oil, and the sachet holds buds hand-rubbed on the farm.
What occasions suit this lavender bridesmaid gift box?
It's made for bridesmaids and maids of honour, and it also suits flower girls' mums, hens' parties, wedding helpers and small thank-you gifts.
Does this gift box arrive ready to give?
Yes — it arrives gift-boxed, ready to send straight to the recipient: just enter their address as the shipping address. To include a personal message, add one of our greeting cards to your order and write your message in the Gift message or special instructions box in your cart — we'll handwrite it on the card. Receipts are emailed to you, so no price or invoice goes in the parcel.
How do bridesmaids use this lavender bridesmaid gift box?
Mist the face toner over clean skin, keeping the eyes closed — it's lovely on the wedding morning. Smooth the body lotion onto clean skin after a shower, and keep the sachet in a drawer or handbag.
Does this lavender bridesmaid gift box contain nuts, coconut, beeswax or milk?
The Lavender Body Lotion contains sweet almond oil. None of the items contain coconut, beeswax or milk. Full ingredient lists are on each product's own page.
Where does the lavender in this gift box come from?
The body lotion is made with Super Lavandin (Lavandula × intermedia 'Super') essential oil grown and steam-distilled on our family farm in Newstead, Waikato. The face toner is pure lavender hydrosol, the floral water collected when we distil that oil, and the sachet holds lavender from the same fields.
How long does delivery take within New Zealand for this gift box?
We send every order by tracked courier, with no signature needed. We aim to deliver within 3–5 working days in the North Island and 5–7 working days in the South Island and rural areas, and orders placed on a weekend or public holiday are sent the next business day.
Can I order this lavender bridesmaid gift box from overseas for someone in New Zealand?
Yes. You can order the Charming Bridesmaid Gift Box from anywhere in the world and we'll deliver it to any address in New Zealand — just enter the recipient's NZ address at checkout. We only deliver within New Zealand, so it can't be sent to an address overseas.
Lavender Backyard Garden Gift Sets Compared to Other Brands
| Features | Our Gift Sets | Many Other Gift Sets |
|---|---|---|
| Lavender Source | Grown and steam-distilled on our family farm in Newstead, Waikato, since 2014. | Lavender oil is often bought in from overseas, and its origin isn't always stated. |
| Own Brand | Most items are our own Lavender Backyard Garden® products, made in small batches at the farm with our own lavender essential oil. Keepsakes like bookmarks, pins and magnets are designed at the farm. | Many gift box shops buy in products from other brands and pack them into a box. |
| Lavender Variety | We name the variety: Super Lavandin (Lavandula × intermedia 'Super') for our essential oil and most body care, English lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) for our English lavender body oil and lotion, and 'Pacific Blue' for our teas and jams. | The lavender variety is rarely stated. |
| Dried Lavender | Grown spray-free and harvested on our farm for sachets and dried flowers. | May be imported and sometimes treated with sprays or preservatives. |
| Scent | Scented with our own lavender essential oil. Our goat milk, scrub and shaving soaps use an English lavender fragrance. | May use synthetic fragrance oils instead of essential oil. |
