Why This Garden Lover Gift Set NZ Is Special
Frequently Asked Questions
What's a small, practical gift for someone who's always outdoors — is the Small Personal Care Gift Box for Everyday Needs a good choice?
Yes, it's a practical little gift for someone always outdoors. It holds everyday essentials: a lavender insect spray with citronella, lemongrass and eucalyptus oils, a lavender lip balm, a eucalyptus, rosemary and lavender sachet, and a bookmark. It's handy for gardeners, walkers and campers.
What makes the Small Personal Care Gift Box for Everyday Needs different from other lavender gift boxes?
This little box carries lavender oil and dried herbs from our family farm in Newstead, Waikato. The insect spray is DEET-free and scented only with essential oils, the lip balm is made with shea butter and beeswax, and the sachet's eucalyptus, rosemary and lavender are all grown spray-free on the farm.
What occasions suit this small lavender personal care gift box?
It suits gardeners, campers and walkers, summer birthdays, Secret Santa, stocking fillers and small thank-you gifts.
Does this gift box arrive ready to give?
Yes — it arrives gift-boxed, ready to send straight to the recipient: just enter their address as the shipping address. To include a personal message, add one of our greeting cards to your order and write your message in the Gift message or special instructions box in your cart — we'll handwrite it on the card. Receipts are emailed to you, so no price or invoice goes in the parcel.
How do I use this small lavender personal care gift box?
Spray the insect repellent lightly onto exposed skin before heading outside, avoiding the eyes and face, and reapply as needed. Use the lip balm whenever lips feel dry, and keep the sachet in a car, bag or drawer.
Does this small lavender personal care gift box contain nuts, coconut, beeswax or milk?
The Lavender Lip Balm contains beeswax, coconut oil, shea butter and sweet almond oil. None of the items contain milk. Full ingredient lists are on each product's own page.
Where does the lavender in this gift box come from?
The insect repellent and lip balm are made with Super Lavandin (Lavandula × intermedia 'Super') essential oil grown and steam-distilled on our family farm in Newstead, Waikato, and the sachet holds lavender, eucalyptus and rosemary from the same farm.
How long does delivery take within New Zealand for this gift box?
We send every order by tracked courier, with no signature needed. We aim to deliver within 3–5 working days in the North Island and 5–7 working days in the South Island and rural areas, and orders placed on a weekend or public holiday are sent the next business day.
Can I order this small lavender personal care gift box from overseas for someone in New Zealand?
Yes. You can order the Small Personal Care Gift Box for Everyday Needs from anywhere in the world and we'll deliver it to any address in New Zealand — just enter the recipient's NZ address at checkout. We only deliver within New Zealand, so it can't be sent to an address overseas.
Lavender Backyard Garden Gift Sets Compared to Other Brands
| Features | Our Gift Sets | Many Other Gift Sets |
|---|---|---|
| Lavender Source | Grown and steam-distilled on our family farm in Newstead, Waikato, since 2014. | Lavender oil is often bought in from overseas, and its origin isn't always stated. |
| Own Brand | Most items are our own Lavender Backyard Garden® products, made in small batches at the farm with our own lavender essential oil. Keepsakes like bookmarks, pins and magnets are designed at the farm. | Many gift box shops buy in products from other brands and pack them into a box. |
| Lavender Variety | We name the variety: Super Lavandin (Lavandula × intermedia 'Super') for our essential oil and most body care, English lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) for our English lavender body oil and lotion, and 'Pacific Blue' for our teas and jams. | The lavender variety is rarely stated. |
| Dried Lavender | Grown spray-free and harvested on our farm for sachets and dried flowers. | May be imported and sometimes treated with sprays or preservatives. |
| Scent | Scented with our own lavender essential oil. Our goat milk, scrub and shaving soaps use an English lavender fragrance. | May use synthetic fragrance oils instead of essential oil. |
