How to Use Our Lavender Lip Balm
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the lavender lip balm made from?
It's a rich lip balm made from shea butter and beeswax with sweet almond, avocado, coconut and olive oils. It's lightly scented with Super Lavandin (Lavandula × intermedia 'Super') lavender essential oil. Choose a handy tube or a little tin.
Is this lavender lip balm made with shea butter and beeswax?
Yes, shea butter and beeswax are the first two ingredients, which gives the balm its rich feel and firm, easy glide. Plant oils keep it soft on the lips, and it carries a barely-there lavender scent with a warm, honey-like note.
How do I use the lavender lip balm?
Glide it gently over your lips whenever they feel dry, as often as you like through the day. You can wear it under lipstick or apply a layer before bed. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct heat so it stays firm.
Does the lip balm contain nuts, coconut, beeswax or milk?
Yes, it contains sweet almond oil (a tree nut), coconut oil and beeswax. It also contains shea butter. It doesn't contain milk. The full ingredient list is on this page.
Who is the lip balm suitable for, and is it a good gift?
It suits anyone who wants a natural balm for dry lips, whether gardening, tramping or out on a windy day. It's an easy stocking filler or add-on gift. Patch-test first if you have sensitive skin. If you're pregnant or buying for a young child, check with your healthcare provider first.
Where does the lavender in this lip balm come from?
It comes from our own family farm in Newstead, Waikato, New Zealand. We grow Super Lavandin (Lavandula × intermedia 'Super'), harvest it in summer and steam-distil the oil ourselves, then use that oil to scent the balm.
How long does delivery take, and can I order from overseas?
We send every order by tracked courier within New Zealand: usually 3–5 working days in the North Island and 5–7 in the South Island and rural areas. You can order from anywhere in the world for delivery to a New Zealand address, but we only deliver within New Zealand.
