Lavender Care Tips

After Pick Your Own

Your farm adventure doesn’t end at the field! After gathering your fresh lavender or blueberries, there are a few simple steps to help you get the most out of your harvest. Whether you're preserving the scent of summer or stocking up on berries for the months ahead, these tips will help you enjoy your farm-picked treasures long after your visit.

  • Storing Your Freshly Picked Blueberries

    • Our blueberries are spray-free and safe to eat fresh, but do not rinse before storing — moisture shortens shelf life.
    • If you'd like to eat them fresh, rinse just before eating.
    • For long-term use, gently shake or pat them dry with a towel, then freeze them unwashed.
    • Frozen blueberries stay fresh for up to 1 year in a sealed bag or container.
    • Enjoy them later in smoothies, baking, or snacking!
  • Caring for Your Picked Lavender

    • Your lavender bundle will dry beautifully at home — hang it upside down in a dry, shaded spot with good airflow.
    • For the longest fragrance, avoid direct sunlight or humidity.
    • Once dried, use the buds for DIY sachets, decor, or calming teas (our Pacific Blue is a culinary lavender).
    • Dried lavender can keep its scent for months to years if stored in an airtight container or fabric pouch.
