Summer Activities at Our Lavender Farm
1 Dec. - 12 Dec.
- The Pacific Blue lavender is in full bloom, with later-blooming varieties adding soft purple hues across the field.
- Blueberry picking is available depending on field conditions and weather.
- PYO lavender is always available during the season.
- Blueberries typically ripen in early December, but availability may vary.
13 Dec. - 24 Dec.
- Lavender begins to bloom gradually, with more vibrant rows appearing as the season progresses.
- Blueberry and lavender fields are available for pick-your-own.
- Late December is typically the peak season for blueberry picking.
- Availability may vary depending on field condition and weather.
26 Dec. - 18 Jan.
- Lavender field is in full bloom, though the colour begins to fade toward the end of this peak period.
- Lavender is available for PYO.
- Blueberry PYO may be limited, depending on fruit availability.
19 Jan. - Auckland Anniversary Day
- Lavender is in its final flowering stage, and the field colour is noticeably darker.
- Lavender is available for PYO, though only around 10% of purple petals remain.
- Despite fewer blooms, the lavender picked is rich in essential oils with a stronger scent.
