How to Use Our Blueberry Lavender Jam
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Blueberry Lavender Jam made from?
It's made from sugar, blueberries (40%), fruit pectin, a little lavender flower and citric acid. The lavender is a culinary English variety, used in a small amount for a light floral hint. It comes in a 40g or 110g jar.
Is the lavender flavour strong in blueberry lavender jam?
No, it's a light hint. You taste sweet, ripe blueberry first, with a gentle floral note at the end. We use only a small amount of culinary 'Pacific Blue' lavender, so the jam tastes of fruit, not perfume.
How do I use the jam, and how long does it last?
Spread it on toast, scones or crumpets, serve it with brie or goat cheese, or swirl it through yoghurt. Once opened, keep the jar in the fridge and use it within a few weeks, using a clean spoon each time.
Does the jam contain nuts, coconut, beeswax or milk?
No, it doesn't contain nuts, coconut, beeswax or milk. It's made from sugar, blueberries, fruit pectin, lavender flower and citric acid. The full ingredient list is on this page.
Is blueberry lavender jam a good gift?
Yes, it suits anyone who loves fruit jam with something a little different, and it's a favourite on cheese boards. A 110g jar makes an easy foodie gift, and the 40g jar fits neatly into a gift box or hamper.
Where do the blueberries and lavender come from?
Both come from our own family farm in Newstead, Waikato, New Zealand. We grow the blueberries and the culinary 'Pacific Blue' lavender ourselves, and the jam is made in small batches in open pans.
How long does delivery take, and can I order from overseas?
We send every order by tracked courier within New Zealand: usually 3–5 working days in the North Island and 5–7 in the South Island and rural areas. You can order from anywhere in the world for delivery to a New Zealand address, but we only deliver within New Zealand.
