How to Use Our Lavender Bath Bombs
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the lavender bath bombs made from?
Each 40mm bath bomb is made with baking soda, citric acid, tapioca starch, kaolin clay and a little coconut oil, plus witch hazel extract and cosmetic colours. It's scented with our own lavender essential oil, Super Lavandin (Lavandula × intermedia 'Super'), grown and steam-distilled on our farm in Newstead, Waikato.
Do lavender bath bombs fizz and colour the bath?
Yes, drop one into a warm bath and it fizzes away in a swirl of colour as the baking soda and citric acid react. Fresh lavender scent rises from the bath while it fizzes. Each one is a small 40mm size, just right for a quick soak.
How do I use a lavender bath bomb?
Run a warm bath, drop in one bath bomb and watch it fizz, then step in and enjoy the lavender scent. Keep the rest in a cool, dry place away from damp, so they stay fresh and fizzy until you use them.
Do the bath bombs contain nuts, coconut, beeswax or milk?
They contain coconut, from a little coconut oil. They don't contain nuts, beeswax or milk. They also include tapioca starch, witch hazel extract and cosmetic colours (CI 15850, CI 15985 and CI 42090). The full ingredient list is on this page.
Who are the bath bombs suitable for, and are they a good gift?
They suit anyone who likes a quick, fizzy lavender soak, and kids enjoy them at bath time too. Pop a few into a gift box for a birthday or as a stocking filler. If you're pregnant or buying for a young child, check with your healthcare provider first.
Where does the lavender in this bath bomb come from?
It comes from our own family farm in Newstead, Waikato, New Zealand. We grow Super Lavandin (Lavandula × intermedia 'Super') spray-free, then harvest it and steam-distil the oil ourselves for this bath bomb.
How long does delivery take, and can I order from overseas?
We send every order by tracked courier within New Zealand: usually 3–5 working days in the North Island and 5–7 in the South Island and rural areas. You can order from anywhere in the world for delivery to a New Zealand address, but we only deliver within New Zealand.
