Why This Birthday Fragrance Gift for Her Is Special
Frequently Asked Questions
What's a cosy birthday gift for a slow evening in — is the Joyful Birthday Lavender Fragrance Gift Bundle a good choice?
Yes, it's a gentle evening ritual. It includes a lavender soy candle, lavender chamomile tea, a lavender sleep roller for bedtime and a satin silk lavender bag, plus a jar of lavender fridge magnets and a mini dried flower.
What makes the Joyful Birthday Lavender Fragrance Gift Bundle different from other lavender gift bundles?
The candle and sleep roller in this bundle are made with lavender oil we grow and steam-distil in Newstead, Waikato. The soy candle is scented only with our lavender essential oil, never fragrance oil, and the tea is made with our culinary English lavender, Lavandula angustifolia 'Pacific Blue'. The satin bag holds hand-rubbed buds.
What occasions suit this lavender birthday gift bundle?
Birthdays are the main one, and it also suits Mother's Day, a thank-you, Secret Santa or a just-because treat.
Does this gift set arrive ready to give?
Yes — it arrives gift-boxed, ready to send straight to the recipient: just enter their address as the shipping address. To include a personal message, add one of our greeting cards to your order and write your message in the Gift message or special instructions box in your cart — we'll handwrite it on the card. Receipts are emailed to you, so no price or invoice goes in the parcel.
How do I use this lavender birthday gift bundle?
Light the candle in the evening and brew a cup of lavender chamomile tea. At bedtime, roll the sleep roller onto the wrists or temples, and hang the satin bag in a wardrobe. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Does this lavender birthday gift bundle contain nuts, coconut, beeswax or milk?
The sleep roller is made with fractionated coconut oil and a little chamomile oil, and the tea contains chamomile, which some people with daisy-family allergies avoid. None of the items contain nuts, beeswax or milk. Full ingredient lists are on each product's own page.
Where does the lavender in this gift set come from?
The candle and sleep roller are made with Super Lavandin (Lavandula × intermedia 'Super') essential oil grown and steam-distilled on our family farm in Newstead, Waikato, and the satin bag and dried flower hold lavender from the same fields. The tea uses our culinary English lavender (Lavandula angustifolia 'Pacific Blue').
How long does delivery take within New Zealand for this gift set?
We send every order by tracked courier, with no signature needed. We aim to deliver within 3–5 working days in the North Island and 5–7 working days in the South Island and rural areas, and orders placed on a weekend or public holiday are sent the next business day.
Can I order this lavender birthday gift bundle from overseas for someone in New Zealand?
Yes. You can order the Joyful Birthday Lavender Fragrance Gift Bundle from anywhere in the world and we'll deliver it to any address in New Zealand — just enter the recipient's NZ address at checkout. We only deliver within New Zealand, so it can't be sent to an address overseas.
Lavender Backyard Garden Gift Sets Compared to Other Brands
| Features | Our Gift Sets | Many Other Gift Sets |
|---|---|---|
| Lavender Source | Grown and steam-distilled on our family farm in Newstead, Waikato, since 2014. | Lavender oil is often bought in from overseas, and its origin isn't always stated. |
| Own Brand | Most items are our own Lavender Backyard Garden® products, made in small batches at the farm with our own lavender essential oil. Keepsakes like bookmarks, pins and magnets are designed at the farm. | Many gift box shops buy in products from other brands and pack them into a box. |
| Lavender Variety | We name the variety: Super Lavandin (Lavandula × intermedia 'Super') for our essential oil and most body care, English lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) for our English lavender body oil and lotion, and 'Pacific Blue' for our teas and jams. | The lavender variety is rarely stated. |
| Dried Lavender | Grown spray-free and harvested on our farm for sachets and dried flowers. | May be imported and sometimes treated with sprays or preservatives. |
| Scent | Scented with our own lavender essential oil. Our goat milk, scrub and shaving soaps use an English lavender fragrance. | May use synthetic fragrance oils instead of essential oil. |
| Ingredients | Full ingredient list on every product page, with common allergens named in each gift set's FAQ. | Ingredient details aren't always easy to find. |
