What is the lavender beard oil made from?
It's a 30ml blend of grape seed, jojoba, avocado, argan and sweet almond oils with vitamin E, scented with our lavender essential oil. The lavender is Super Lavandin (Lavandula × intermedia 'Super'), and you work a few drops through your beard after a shower.
Will lavender beard oil make my beard feel soft?
Yes, a few drops worked through after a shower leave your beard feeling soft, with a clean, herbal scent. Jojoba, the main oil in the blend, is light and quick to sink in, while avocado and argan oils give a richer, conditioned feel.
How do I use the beard oil?
After a shower, put a few drops in your palm, using more for a longer beard. Rub your hands together, massage the oil through your damp beard from root to tip, then comb or brush it into shape. Reapply daily.
Does the beard oil contain nuts, coconut, beeswax or milk?
Yes, it contains tree nut oils: sweet almond oil and argan oil. It doesn't contain coconut, beeswax or milk. The other oils are grape seed, jojoba and avocado, with vitamin E. The full ingredient list is on this page.
Who is the beard oil suitable for, and is it a good gift?
It suits any man with a short or long beard who wants it soft and lightly scented. It makes a good Father's Day, birthday or grooming gift, and pairs well with our men's body lotion. Patch-test first if you have sensitive skin. If you're pregnant, check with your healthcare provider first.
Where does the lavender in this beard oil come from?
It comes from our own family farm in Newstead, Waikato, New Zealand. We grow Super Lavandin (Lavandula × intermedia 'Super') spray-free, harvest it in summer and steam-distil the oil ourselves. It gives the beard oil its light, clean scent.
How long does delivery take, and can I order from overseas?
We send every order by tracked courier within New Zealand: usually 3–5 working days in the North Island and 5–7 in the South Island and rural areas. You can order from anywhere in the world for delivery to a New Zealand address, but we only deliver within New Zealand.
