Why This Birthday Gift for Her Is Special

  • Field to bottle – We grow the Super Lavandin, cut it in late summer and distil it on the farm in Newstead. That oil goes into the bubble bath, body lotion and coconut candle.
  • Cut by hand in summer – Our team hand-harvests the lavender for the eye pillow once the blooms are at their most fragrant, and dries it naturally.
  • Picked in bud – The mini bundle is hand-cut early, with most buds still closed, then air-dried slowly so the colour holds.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's a generous birthday gift for someone who needs to slow down — is the Deluxe Birthday Relaxation Gift Basket a good choice?

Yes, it's a thoughtful birthday gift for a full evening of rest. It holds an organic flaxseed and lavender eye pillow, a lavender bubble bath, a lavender body lotion and a lavender coconut wax candle, finished with a mini dried lavender flower and a bookmark. It feels generous rather than flashy.

What makes the Deluxe Birthday Relaxation Gift Basket different from other lavender gift baskets?

The lavender oil in this basket is grown and steam-distilled on our family farm in Newstead, Waikato. Its coconut wax candle is scented only with that essential oil, never fragrance oil, the mini dried flower is bunched by hand in our fields, and the whole basket is packed by hand at the farm.

What occasions suit this lavender birthday gift basket?

Birthdays are the main one, and it also suits Mother's Day, retirements, get-well wishes and a big thank-you.

Does this gift basket arrive ready to give?

Yes — it arrives gift-boxed, ready to send straight to the recipient: just enter their address as the shipping address. To include a personal message, add one of our greeting cards to your order and write your message in the Gift message or special instructions box in your cart — we'll handwrite it on the card. Receipts are emailed to you, so no price or invoice goes in the parcel.

How do I use this lavender birthday gift basket?

Light the candle and run a bath with a capful of bubble bath. Afterwards, smooth on the body lotion. Lie back and rest the eye pillow over closed eyes for a few minutes — for a cool feel, keep it in the fridge beforehand. Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Does this lavender birthday gift basket contain nuts, coconut, beeswax or milk?

The Lavender Body Lotion contains sweet almond oil, the Lavender Bubble Bath contains macadamia oil and coconut oil, and the candle is made with coconut wax. None of the items contain beeswax or milk. Full ingredient lists are on each product's own page.

Where does the lavender in this gift basket come from?

The bubble bath, body lotion and candle are made with Super Lavandin (Lavandula × intermedia 'Super') essential oil grown and steam-distilled on our family farm in Newstead, Waikato. The eye pillow is filled with organic flaxseed and dried lavender buds from our own fields, where the dried flower is grown too.

How long does delivery take within New Zealand for this gift basket?

We send every order by tracked courier, with no signature needed. We aim to deliver within 3–5 working days in the North Island and 5–7 working days in the South Island and rural areas, and orders placed on a weekend or public holiday are sent the next business day.

Can I order this lavender birthday gift basket from overseas for someone in New Zealand?

Yes. You can order the Deluxe Birthday Relaxation Gift Basket from anywhere in the world and we'll deliver it to any address in New Zealand — just enter the recipient's NZ address at checkout. We only deliver within New Zealand, so it can't be sent to an address overseas.
