What is the lavender insect balm made from?
The balm is a 15g stick of castor oil, coconut oil and beeswax with menthol, scented with our lavender, Super Lavandin (Lavandula × intermedia 'Super'), and a lemongrass essential oil blend. It also comes as a softer cream.
Is the lavender insect balm DEET-free?
Yes, it contains no DEET and is scented only with essential oils: our lavender with lemongrass, for a fresh, green outdoor scent. Menthol gives it a cool, fresh feel, and the stick glides easily onto skin.
How do I use the lavender insect balm?
Rub a small amount onto exposed skin such as arms, legs, neck or ankles before heading outside. Reapply every few hours or after sweating. Keep it away from eyes, mouth and broken skin, and tuck it into a beach bag or tramping pack.

It comes from our own family farm in Newstead, Waikato, New Zealand. We grow Super Lavandin (Lavandula × intermedia 'Super') spray-free, then harvest it and steam-distil the oil ourselves for this insect balm.
How long does delivery take, and can I order from overseas?
We send every order by tracked courier within New Zealand: usually 3–5 working days in the North Island and 5–7 in the South Island and rural areas. You can order from anywhere in the world for delivery to a New Zealand address, but we only deliver within New Zealand.
